I bought Rice Family raw unfiltered gluten-free honey from Sprouts today with a price of $10.39 only. To be honest, it will be the first time that I will taste this brand of raw honey and I must say that the 40 oz. (1.13 kg) bottle and its relatively good price already got a good start from me ahead of its taste.
At the back labeling, it has been marked as U.S. Grade A Strained. What I have read and learned about raw honey is that it is totally unpasteurized, unheated and unprocessed honey. Also, strained means that the honey has been strained to the extent that most of the particles, pollen grains have been removed.
Even from outside the bottle the clear, free of particles honey is noticeable. The taste is a little bit sweeter than any other regular honey but more or less the same with Manuka honey. Please bear in mind that I am not a honey expert or a honey bee.
As a result, I really loved the taste and the flavor that it leaves in my mouth even after 10 minutes of tasting it. Now it’s time to combine it with my favorite organic smooth peanut butter and bread.
